Cronos
Cuvée
2005
The carefull
selection of the best St.Laurent grapes as well as some Cabernet
Sauvignon and Syrah is the starting point of this red Cuvée.
After a 3-week fermentation and maceration in 1000l open vats
the wine staid in new French oak barrels (90% new, Allier) for
12 month and was bottled with minimal filtration in November 2004.
It is an expressive, characteristic wine with a full body, complexity,
ripe tanins and lively acidity. An intensive, fruity nose is followed
by layered palate of dark fruits, like black berries, plums and
spicy, roasted aromas and a long, balance finished. A wine that
expresses climate and soil and that has excellent storage potential.
